POTD: Rainy Day Baking

Are you bored, stuck inside and wondering what you can possibly do with your rainy afternoon? I have three words for you; chocolate chip cookies! You can never go wrong with the package directions on the back of your bag of Nestle Toll House semi-sweet morsels. You can blast your favorite baking music (baking should never be done in silence even when it’s a solo activity) and fill up on as much cookie dough as you like. One small bonus to having no roommates is that there’s no argument about who gets to lick the beaters. This picture is the product of one quiet and wet Sunday afternoon and the fluffiest batch of chocolate chip cookies I’ve made in years!

Nothing makes a home feel cozier than the smell of cookies fresh out of the oven. You can curl up on your sofa in a fuzzy blanket and watch the rain spatter the pavement with a plate of cookies and a glass of milk in hand. You could even pull out all the stops and make it into a girl’s day with a Netflix marathon and your preferred shade of nail polish. What is your perfect rainy day?
