Happy Veteran’s Day everyone! Today we say thank you to all the grandparents, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers who have fought for our country. The celebration looks a little different this year due to distancing restrictions. I miss the days when our heroes were remembered with the percussion and fanfare of hundreds of orchestras throughout the United States trumpeting America’s national anthem while audience members stood in honor of the red, white and blue. Children’s choirs gathered in school auditoriums across the country to sing of the daring deeds of our men in uniform. After all, what’s a celebration without music?
Although many are restricted from formally gathering this year, the song continues as we express our gratitude. Thank you veterans, for your service and your sacrifice.
