Over the past several months, the joys of working from home have been splashed across every social media outlet. One recent common delight is the ability to show up to that 8am meeting without pants as the commute for many has been the seconds it took to roll out of bed and shuffle into the living room, now a makeshift home office. I’ll admit this kind of routine has its perks. I don’t have to pack a lunch and there’s no need to fret over a bad hair day.
However, for those flaunting the solo apartment living experience, there’s only so much time you can spend staring at the same four walls before you go completely insane. It’s so good to see people starting to trickle back to the office and to be one of them. I tend to crave the structure and social interaction that comes with commuting to work everyday and as a quality engineer in the steel industry, I’ve learned that there’s never a dull moment at the mill. I love coming in to work and suiting up for whatever challenges a new day brings.
